This started as a pandemic project - when all we had was the laser because of supply chain issues with the vacuum chamber- and it is now out on ArXiv and submitted for peer-review publication.

We are teaming up with Dr. Abate and his Quantum Nano-Optics group in Physics (https://abate.physast.uga.edu/ ) . He is currently learning how to do scanning near-field optical microscopy (SNOM) in Dr. Abate's lab.
Todd spent the summer at an internship with a large defense contractor. He worked on building lasers and got to experience research in industry first hand. While it was a great experience, we are very glad to have him back at UGA!

HEPA filters, masks, and individual office spaces - we are ready to get back to work. I still like using Slack, but clearly everyone prefers talking in person!
